These days, we all are trying to save everything that we can. Prices are steadily rising yet incomes are flat.
Here are a few money saving tips.
CAR POOL-it is back in vogue. Check around, you will be surprised at what you can save.
Check the pressure on your tires. See what the max inflation is and run 10 psi less. I run 38 and it has added about 10%
Eat less meat, it is expensive. Replace with rice, beans or other staples that are less expensive.
Have breakfast for dinner. Eggs, bacon and pancakes are a wonderful change and a relatively inexpensive meal.
Make a budget and account for every single dollar. You may not realize that you are spending $35 on coffee every week.
Review your insurance, raising your deductable can lower your rate.
Buy off brands (store brands) when grocery shopping. They are sometimes made by the brand names and private labeled. Quality on these has really risen in the past years.
Do not impulse buy. Plan out your shopping trip and buy what is on the list. Impulse buying gets many people, especially at the check out line.
Go online! Many newspapers and magazines now have an online version that is up to 90% off the normal price. Save money and the environment in one swoop.
Price shop! I always got 3 bids on everything. Use the phone and call before you drive over. I save at the pharmacy, the grocery store and even gas!
